Trailer World Warranty Policy

The Trailer World Warranty Policy explains how warranty concerns involving trailers purchased through Trailer World are handled. We are committed to helping our customers understand applicable manufacturer warranties, report potential defects, and determine the appropriate next steps when a warranty-related issue occurs.

Trailer World offers trailers from respected manufacturers including Big Tex Trailers, Diamond C Trailers, Premier Trailers, BWise Trailers, CAM Superline, Load Trail and PJ Trailers. Because warranty coverage varies by manufacturer, trailer model, component and year, the specific warranty supplied with the trailer will determine the actual coverage available.

1. Trailer Manufacturer Warranty Coverage

New trailers sold by Trailer World may include a manufacturer’s limited warranty. The duration, coverage, exclusions and claim procedures are established by the applicable trailer manufacturer.

Depending on the trailer and manufacturer, warranty coverage may apply to certain defects in materials or workmanship. Customers should review the warranty documentation supplied with their trailer for the exact terms that apply to their purchase.

Trailer World does not extend, modify or replace a manufacturer’s written warranty unless we specifically provide a separate written warranty or guarantee at the time of purchase.

2. Trailer Brands We Carry

Our inventory may include trailers manufactured by:

  • Big Tex Trailers
  • Diamond C Trailers
  • Premier Trailers
  • BWise Trailers
  • CAM Superline
  • Load Trail
  • PJ Trailers

Available manufacturers and trailer models may change as our inventory changes. Warranty terms should therefore be confirmed for the specific trailer being purchased rather than assumed based solely on the brand.

3. Components May Have Separate Warranties

Certain trailer components may be covered by warranties provided by their individual manufacturers rather than by the trailer manufacturer itself.

Depending on the trailer, separately warranted components may include:

  • Axles
  • Tires and wheels
  • Braking components
  • Hydraulic pumps and cylinders
  • Jacks
  • Electrical components
  • Batteries
  • Couplers
  • Lighting systems
  • Other installed equipment

Coverage periods and claim procedures for these components are determined by their respective manufacturers.

4. How to Submit a Trailer Warranty Claim

If you believe your trailer has a defect that may qualify for warranty coverage, please contact Trailer World as soon as reasonably possible.

To help us review the issue, please be prepared to provide:

  • Your full name
  • Order or invoice number
  • Trailer manufacturer and model
  • Trailer VIN
  • Date of purchase
  • Date of delivery or pickup
  • A detailed description of the problem
  • Clear photographs or videos showing the issue
  • Any other information reasonably required to evaluate the claim

Providing complete information can help Trailer World and the applicable manufacturer determine the appropriate next step more efficiently.

5. Warranty Claim Review

Submitting a warranty claim does not automatically mean that the repair or replacement will be covered.

The trailer or affected component may need to be inspected before warranty eligibility can be determined. Trailer World may assist in communicating with the applicable manufacturer or identifying the appropriate warranty process.

The manufacturer or component provider may require additional photographs, documentation, diagnostic information or an inspection by an authorized service location.

6. Repairs Under Manufacturer Warranty

If a warranty claim is approved, the available remedy will be determined by the applicable warranty terms.

Depending on the circumstances, an approved warranty remedy may include:

  • Repair of the affected component
  • Replacement parts
  • Replacement of a defective component
  • Authorized service work
  • Another remedy provided by the manufacturer

Customers should not authorize repairs, modifications or replacement work and assume reimbursement will be provided unless the work has been approved according to the applicable warranty process.

7. Items Generally Not Covered by Warranty

Warranty coverage varies by manufacturer. However, manufacturer warranties generally may exclude problems resulting from circumstances such as:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Accidents or collision damage
  • Improper towing
  • Overloading the trailer beyond its rated capacity
  • Improper cargo distribution
  • Negligence or misuse
  • Unauthorized alterations or modifications
  • Improper maintenance
  • Failure to maintain tires, bearings, brakes or other serviceable components
  • Damage caused by environmental conditions or road hazards
  • Cosmetic wear resulting from ordinary use

The manufacturer’s written warranty for the specific trailer will control whether a particular issue is covered.

8. Normal Wear and Maintenance

Trailers require routine inspection and maintenance. Normal maintenance and wear items are generally the responsibility of the trailer owner unless specifically covered by a manufacturer’s warranty.

Customers should routinely inspect and maintain items such as:

  • Tire pressure and tire condition
  • Wheel lug nuts
  • Wheel bearings
  • Trailer brakes
  • Breakaway systems
  • Lights and electrical connections
  • Couplers and safety chains
  • Jacks
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Decking and ramps

Customers should follow the maintenance instructions provided by the trailer and component manufacturers.

9. Modifications and Aftermarket Equipment

Modifying a trailer or installing aftermarket equipment may affect warranty coverage if the modification causes or contributes to the claimed problem.

Before making significant structural, electrical, hydraulic, suspension or axle modifications, customers should review the applicable manufacturer’s warranty requirements.

10. Trailer Weight and Load Limits

Customers are responsible for operating trailers within their applicable weight and load limits.

Trailer specifications such as GVWR, payload capacity, axle ratings and tongue or hitch requirements should be reviewed before loading or towing.

Damage caused by overloading, improper loading or use outside the trailer’s intended specifications may not qualify for warranty coverage.

11. Delivery-Related Damage

Damage caused during transportation is not necessarily a manufacturer warranty issue.

If a trailer arrives with visible transportation damage, customers should document the condition with photographs or video and contact Trailer World as soon as reasonably possible.

When practical, visible damage should also be reported to the delivery driver and noted on applicable delivery documentation.

If qualifying damage occurred during transportation arranged by Trailer World, we will help determine the appropriate delivery claim, repair or other resolution.

12. Warranty Claims Are Different From Returns

A warranty claim does not automatically entitle a customer to return a trailer for a full refund.

Warranty concerns are generally handled through inspection, repair, replacement parts or another remedy provided under the applicable manufacturer’s warranty.

Customers wishing to return a trailer should review our separate Return & Refund Policy for eligibility, return timeframes and transportation responsibilities.

13. Warranty Transportation Costs

Transportation of a trailer to a dealership, manufacturer, repair facility or other service location is not automatically covered by every manufacturer’s warranty.

Responsibility for transportation, towing, labor or related costs will depend on the applicable manufacturer’s warranty and the circumstances of the claim.

Customers should contact Trailer World before arranging transportation if they expect transportation expenses to be covered.

14. Used Trailers, If Offered

If Trailer World offers a used trailer, the warranty status of that trailer will be disclosed as applicable at the time of sale.

A used trailer should not be assumed to carry the same manufacturer’s warranty as a new trailer. Any remaining manufacturer warranty will depend on the original warranty terms, age of the trailer, transferability and other applicable conditions.

15. Warranty Documentation

Customers should keep their purchase documents, invoice, trailer VIN information, manufacturer’s warranty documentation and maintenance records.

These records may be required when submitting a warranty claim.

16. Trailer World Customer Support

Our commitment does not end when a customer takes delivery of a trailer. As a family-operated trailer dealership, Trailer World is committed to helping customers understand their trailers and navigate legitimate warranty concerns.

When a problem occurs, our team will help review the information available and direct the customer toward the appropriate manufacturer, component provider, service process or other applicable solution.

17. Manufacturer Warranty Controls

Trailer World provides this page as a general explanation of the warranty process. The actual written warranty issued by the trailer or component manufacturer controls the specific warranty coverage, duration, exclusions and available remedies.

Nothing on this page should be interpreted as expanding a manufacturer’s warranty beyond its written terms.

18. Consumer Rights

This Warranty Policy does not limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived under applicable federal, state, provincial or local law.

Customers may have additional legal rights depending on their location and the circumstances of their purchase.
